The Oxley Extra is an online supplement to The Oxley Farm Diaries (Henry, M. 2024), with pedigrees and additional material researched and compiled by Oxley Team Volunteers. The aim of the project is to offer a deeper insight into the lives of the people named in the diaries, and to find out where they came from. It was not unusual to find that many of the folk were born outside Sussex, and the tracing of the families involved was a fascinating and sometimes unexpected journey for the researchers. The process of starting to build a pedigree began with finding all the incidences of a chosen name in the diaries. (...)
