The index includes records of inscriptions on tombstones, plaques and memorials, where possible both inside and outside the churches.  It is mainly focused on the church yards but also has some of the parish yards and even a couple of borough cemeteries.  At the last count the computer database held about 213,800 inscriptions, 71,291 with photographs – many of which have been supplied by members, and we are always happy to receive any you may have for inclusion in the archive.  The database provides full details of the inscription on the tombstone, any peculiarities of the tombstone, the church yard name and location.
